If you have no experience in cybersecurity or have up to 1 year of experience in the field, I recommend obtaining the Cisco Certified Support Technician (CCST) Cybersecurity Certification for your career journey.
📚 The certification exam consists of 45 questions, and you have 50 minutes to answer them. To pass the exam, you need to score 700 points. You can navigate back and forth between questions during the exam. This provides an advantage compared to the CCNA exam, as it allows the candidate to manage the questions. Although the time and question count are similar to the CCNA exam, there is limited time for thinking about the questions. While some questions may allow for quick answers, others require thoughtful interpretation. It is essential to be well-prepared to effectively manage the given exam time.
🖥️ The CCST exam is not conducted online. Therefore, you need to schedule an appointment at a Certiport Authorized Testing Center to take the exam. You must take the exam at a Certiport Authorized Center, and the exam fee is $125.
📋 Exam topics include:
🔒 Fundamental security concepts,
🌐 Network security and data analysis,
💻 Software and system security, malware, cloud and endpoint security, and identity management,
🚧 Principles and processes of risk management,
🚨 Incident response and disaster recovery.
🎓 Roles you can apply for with the CCST Cybersecurity Certification:
💻 Cybersecurity Technician,
🔍 Cybersecurity Analyst and Operator,
🔧 Cybersecurity Support Staff,
🛡️ Cybersecurity Expert,
🖥️ Security-Focused IT Technician, or Help Desk Support roles.
I wish success to everyone preparing for the certification exam.
